Job Purpose
The job holder is responsible for supporting the Placement Coordination activities.
Job Responsibilities
(i) Analyzing and compiling data from stakeholders for criteria development; (ii) Providing the updated criteria for placement of government-sponsored students to universities and colleges; (iii) Validating students’ data from KNEC; (iv) Validating data of registered eligible institutions and their programmes for placement; (v) Validating the data base with the declared capacities for universities and colleges programmes; (vi) Guiding of students on the application processes; (vii) Processing of Placement of students to Universities and Colleges; (viii) Validating the Placement of students to Universities and Colleges; (ix) Verifying the Inter Institution Transfers applications; (x) Reconciling placement returns from Universities and Colleges; and (xi) Identifying stakeholders and compiling the content for engagement.
Minimum Job Qualification
(i) Have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in relevant work in the Public Service or in the Private Sector; (ii) Have a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields:- Education, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Studies or Development Studies or other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution; (iii) Have professional qualification and membership to a relevant professional body. (iv) Be proficient in computer applications; (v) Supervisory Course lasting not less than 4 weeks; and (vi) Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
